We gave our Saitti website builder to our partner, Yrittäjä.io’s Niko Kajala, for an independent test. He tried the service on his own and evaluated its usability, features and overall experience from an entrepreneur’s perspective. His goal was to find out whether Hostingpalvelu’s modern Saitti builder can be used to create clear, stylish and easy-to-update websites without a large budget or technical expertise. The review was carried out in a mystery shopping spirit, without prior introduction or setup assistance.

Getting started

Arriving at the website builder’s landing page, my first impression was clarity and ease of use. The page quickly convinces you that creating a website doesn’t require technical skills – anyone can do it. The style is down-to-earth and customer-friendly; instead of selling complicated terms, it focuses on how easy and affordable it is to start.

I especially appreciate how clearly and honestly the different packages and their features are explained – there’s no guessing what you get. Bonus points for highlighting benefits like a free domain and satisfaction guarantee without overdoing the sales tone.

The page could perhaps feature more examples of finished websites, but since the service is still quite new, I assume those are coming soon. Overall, it’s a very effective and pleasant landing page that lowers the threshold for getting started with your own website.

I proceeded with the Store package. After choosing a domain, I could jump right into building the site. The process is extremely straightforward. First, you choose the purpose of your site – a website, an online store or a blog.

This is where things get interesting: you can choose to use AI assistance. Having built WordPress sites before, I’ve since preferred hiring a professional to save time and effort while getting higher quality. That’s why the AI option immediately caught my attention. The idea of building everything myself from scratch didn’t sound appealing, but with AI it suddenly felt possible.

After selecting AI, you’re asked to describe your project – for example, your business field and services. The questions are easy to answer, and soon the builder generates three different website drafts. If none of them feel right, you can ask AI for new design suggestions. I was genuinely surprised by how quickly and diversely the system produced complete site concepts based on just a few answers. The design options were also visually distinct, allowing for immediate stylistic choice. Once you select your version, you move on to the site editor.

Editing the site

I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly AI created the foundation and how effortless it was to continue editing in the builder’s interface. All functions are clearly organized, offering the same essential elements you’d expect from a platform like WordPress. You can manage colors, fonts, SEO settings and other key aspects from the settings panel.

Adding elements feels almost like assembling a puzzle – click, drag and drop. Editing text is as easy as writing an email, and changing headlines is just a tap away – big bold fonts or lighter looks, depending on your mood. Contact forms come pre-integrated and can be added with a single click.

The built-in image library (powered by Pexels) is a real treasure trove if you don’t have your own visuals ready.

As a development suggestion, I’d mention mobile view editing. I couldn’t find where to adjust it in the editor, and since mobile responsiveness is crucial nowadays, it would be good to make it easier to ensure pages scale well beyond desktop screens.

Online store as part of the site

As mentioned, I tested the Store package, which also includes online shop functionality. I didn’t need a store for my own purposes, but I’ve previously worked with Shopify and WordPress ecommerce setups. The idea of creating a ready-made AI-assisted store structure within your website without heavy setup work is very appealing.

My past experiences, especially with WordPress, remind me of the frustration of integrating various components together – it’s a lot of work if you’re not an expert. Many entrepreneurs will surely value a simple yet functional solution that doesn’t require investing hundreds or even thousands of euros in an external professional. Of course, professionals still have their place, especially for highly customized projects.

Summary

Hostingpalvelu’s Saitti website builder exceeded expectations with its clarity and ease of use. Setup was quick and required no prior guidance, while the AI-assisted start made the site creation process smooth and even inspiring. Editing in the builder was intuitive: elements could be added and adjusted like assembling a puzzle, and the built-in image library offered plenty of visual options.

The builder provides all essential tools – from color and font control to SEO settings and contact forms – and everything works seamlessly. The main improvement area is the mobile view editor, which could be made more visible and easier to use. I’m still not entirely sure if full mobile editing is possible at this stage.

Overall, Saitti offers entrepreneurs and small businesses an effective and affordable solution for creating websites and online stores – especially for those who value speed and simplicity without technical hassle.

I can honestly say that the result truly is a clear, stylish and easy-to-update website without a large budget or technical expertise.
