Some of our customers have received fraudulent emails claiming to be from Hostingpalvelu. These messages typically urge recipients to pay an allegedly overdue invoice or to log in to their account via a link included in the email.
These emails have not been sent by Hostingpalvelu.
How to Identify a Phishing Email
Fraudulent emails may, for example:
- Create a sense of urgency by demanding immediate payment or threatening service suspension.
- Ask you to log in via a link included in the email.
- Direct you to a website that resembles Hostingpalvelu’s services or customer portal.
- Request payment using bank account details that differ from those normally used by Hostingpalvelu.
What You Should Do
- Do not click any links contained in the email.
- Do not enter your username, password, payment details, or any other sensitive information on websites accessed through email links.
- Always verify invoices and outstanding payments by logging in to your customer account directly through your web browser.
- If you are unsure whether a message is genuine, please contact our customer support team before taking any action.
If You Have Already Clicked the Link or Provided Information
If you have entered your login credentials or payment information on a suspicious website, change your password immediately and contact our customer support team.
If you have made a payment to a fraudster or disclosed your banking information, contact your bank without delay and, if necessary, report the incident to the police.
